A Look Back
Re-run the re-runs?
Einstein on Melrose? Nahh … it’s Strother Martin
This might seem … well, a bit redundant. After all, most of the posts that have appeared here over the past year were pulled from the archives of my old blog, then freshened up to strut the brightly lit catwalk of Substack.
So why re-run some of those re-runs?
Blame it on Substack, which saw fit this week to remind me that more than two-thirds of the current readership wasn’t here a year ago, and thus has no idea what they missed.1 The viewer stats of SS tell me that somewhere north of 250 people take a look each week nowadays, slightly over half of whom then read the post. The stats say that only 70 people were observing a year ago — and how many people stumble across a vaguely intriguing Substack, then dive into that site’s history to read every single previous post? I dunno, but I’d imagine not many — I rarely do, although I mean to — so I’m taking a leap of faith here that some of you newish readers might appreciate a shortcut.
Or not — in which case, no harm, no foul. Hey, I’ll see you next Sunday.
But for those inclined to squeeze back through the wormhole, here we go to one of those early posts, the first in a four part series describing a very low budget Disney show I jumped on during its final month of production that season. There are links at the end of each so you can jump straight to the next without having to wade through the archives.
Bon Voyage!
Whether any new readers actually missed what they “missed” is not for me to say…

Who doesn't love a good rerun?!
